Quick answer: High-strength glass-reinforced polypropylene plates are specified for membrane filter presses and large plate sizes (1500–2000 mm) where squeeze pressures of 1.5–3.0 MPa would deflect standard PP. They keep PP’s chemical resistance, add stiffness and temperature margin, and are used in stone, ceramic, mining and municipal presses that run many cycles a day.

Buyer FAQ
When do I need high-strength plates instead of standard PP?
When the press runs membrane squeeze above about 1.5 MPa, uses plates of 1500 mm or larger, or operates near the top of PP’s temperature range. For light-duty presses standard PP is sufficient and cheaper.
Can high-strength plates be mixed with my existing plates?
They can if the size, thickness and feed-hole layout match. Send the current plate specification and we confirm fit before quoting.
What is the expected service life?
Plate life depends on pressure, temperature and how evenly the press is fed; well-run plates last many years. Cracking usually comes from uneven cake or over-pressure, not from the plate material itself.
